Lucid Research Ltd was formed in 1995 and is the leading developer of dyslexia screening, diagnostic assessment and training software for ages 4 to Adult. Our software is currently used in thousands of schools, colleges and universities throughout the UK as well as in over 30 countries worldwide.

All of Lucid's programs are extensively researched and validated, Lucid's development team work very closely with psychologists at the University of Hull, UK, as well as with educational consultants, to ensure that its assessment systems conform to the highest psychometric and educational standards.

British Dyslexia Association

The British Dyslexia Association(BDA) was founded in 1972 and is the voice of dyslexic people.
Their vision is that of a dyslexia friendly society that enables dyslexic people to reach their potential.

The policy of the BDA is:
The BDA is the voice of dyslexic people. We aim to influence government and other institutions to promote a dyslexia friendly society.
The BDA promotes early identification and support in schools to ensure opportunity to learn for dyslexic learners. We want to represent the needs of dyslexic people on leaving school, in higher education and in work.

The BDA website, www.bdadyslexia.org.uk includes answers to the most frequently asked questions regarding dyslexia and also has extensive information and advice for people with dyslexia.

As well as offering help and advice, the BDA also runs training courses for employers, teachers and parents.

In additon to these local associations there is a national helpline, 0845 251 9002, which is staffed by volunteers and open from 10:00am until 4.00pm Monday to Friday, with a later opening on Wednesdays until 7.00pm.

The service is completely free and confidential for all those who are in touch with dyslexia for every age group. Our information, advice and signposting is completely impartial enabling the caller to make important choices and decisions for themselves.
